This is doctor Lee Moon Won.

January 2017…

It seems I have just made the plans andgoals for the year, and this year have already passed and it is the middle ofJanuary of 2018. The time really flies…

And I was thinking how many of new year resolutions for 2017 I was able to accomplish. I looked at my notebook and therewere 16 things in the list. I finished 6 of them, 3 are ongoing and 7 Icould not even start..

Not very impressive..

I could see with my own eyes what I coulddo last year and what I couldn’t.

So this time I will make plan for 2018 too.

And I have to do 7 things that I couldn’t startlast year.

Today I will tell you about one of the thingsthat I could do out of 2017 resolutions.

My resolution was to have 4 internationallectures in 2017.

So, on December 7th I had my 4thinternational lecture (Japan, Tokyo, Grand Hyatt Hotel).

I am glad I could accomplish thisresolution.

The topic of the lecture was “Hair loss thatnobody can avoid: knowing 11common symptoms and preventing in advance”.

I started my research related to hair lossin 2002.

I’ve seen many different patients with hairloss and found out that there are 11 basic symptoms of hair loss. I will tellyou about them in the next blog entry.

This time during the lecture I focused onsome of the features that are typical for Japanese patients.

Even though Koreans and Japanese are bothAsian races, hair types, lifestyle habits of taking care of the hair, and thelifestyle in general are different. Because of that I could see somedifferences in treatment between Korean and Japanese patients.

This kind of lecture is not common inJapan, so I was asked to give the lecture on this topic.

During this trip I also wanted to visitsome of the distinctive hospitals and hair salons in Japan.

I felt my vision was getting narrower and Iwanted to look around.

And I would like to take this opportunityto thank hair salons and hospitals one more time for showing me around.

Back to the topic…

As I look at the pictures I remember thisday again…

Out of 11 points that I covered the mostpopular one was the point regarding heredity. Also, people were surprised bymethods of treatment of hair loss using Korean traditional herbs and extracts. They told me they were thinking that hair loss is hereditary, that is why it isdifficult to treat and results of using the medicine or treatment are hardlyvisible.

So,

“Even though hair loss is hereditary, it isimportant to find out the exact reason why the hair loss started. The chance ofstarting hair loss can be different depending on health condition of a person, lifestyle habits, disease, stress or other reasons.

After the lecture I did the interview for amagazine.

The lecture will be available not only inthe magazine, but also online.

If I knew I would have dressed up more.

Every time I finish the lecture I ammotivated to learn something new.

And I make aim for the next lecture to makeit more reliable, informative and interesting.

I am planning to give a lecture in Osakanext time and I will do my best to improve the lecture content by that time.

Please stay in touch for the next entryabout 11 similarities of hair loss.
